To prepare participants for our light shows, we collaborate with various organizations, including school districts, colleges, parks and recreation departments, and boys and girls clubs, to provide comprehensive instruction. Our curriculum begins with training for the FAA Part 107 certification, followed by our specialized drone light show program covering both flight operations and design.
- FAA Part 107 Preparation: 10 to 40 hours, varying by the student’s individual learning pace.
- Drone Light Show Specialization: An additional 16 to 24 hours of preparation.
In the United States, drone light displays must comply with FAA Part 107 regulations. Furthermore, shows are subject to regional constraints, including specific airspace requirements and local event-based rules.

For the ground setup, we require a launch area measuring approximately 40×40 ft for every 100 drones, plus a 360 ft safety buffer between the drones and the audience. For the aerial display, a clear volume of space roughly 800×600 ft is necessary.
We recommend watching the show from 1,000-3,000 ft from the launch site.
While our performances generally run between 10 and 12 minutes, they can extend to a maximum of 15 minutes. Every drone is built for flight times exceeding 20 minutes, ensuring there is ample battery life for a secure takeoff and landing sequence.
Our drones have interchangeable batteries with a 75-minute charge time, allowing for multiple shows, usually 2 hours apart.
We offer shows with drone fleet sizes ranging from 100-500 drones, but we can increase this number with enough notice.
Absolutely! While we maintain an extensive library of existing animations, our Creative & Animation Director is available to collaborate with you on bespoke icons, logos, and entire scenes. We provide multiple revisions to ensure your brand and creative vision are perfectly captured in the sky.

To guarantee a premium audio experience, we handle all technical logistics by either utilizing our own professional sound systems or coordinating with your venue to leverage their existing equipment.
Our team can perform displays in numerous locations, provided there is adequate launch space and the necessary airspace authorizations are obtained. We are fully equipped to travel to your venue to bring the performance directly to your audience!
A multidisciplinary team of specialists, including producers, animators, pilots, and visual observers, collaborate to bring a performance from concept to flight. While the creative and design phase can feature a team of more than 10 specialized contributors, the size of the on-site crew generally ranges from 5 to 15 members, depending on the complexity of the show. This field team always includes a Pilot in Command and Visual Observers, supplemented by technicians responsible for drone placement, maintenance, and post-show breakdown.
Our primary distinction lies in our commitment to integrating students into our productions. We aim to prepare the next generation for sustainable careers in the expanding drone sector by providing education and practical training. We guide students through drone basics for their Part 107 certification, offer specialized instruction in fields like light show operations, and facilitate connections to professional opportunities. We provide three distinct staffing models:
- Professional In-House Crew: A dedicated team of experts manages all live show operations without student participation.
- Experienced Student Support: Led by our Chief Drone Pilot, this team includes students who already hold Part 107 licenses and have significant show experience, serving as assistant pilots or visual observers.
- Community Educational Partnership: We train a new group of students from your community to obtain their Part 107 licenses. Our Chief Drone Pilot supervises these new trainees as they act as visual observers and assistant pilots, allowing you to create a lasting local educational impact while engaging with your audience.
The total expense for a drone light display is influenced by various components, such as the quantity of drones utilized, requested personalizations, event location, and scheduling, as well as the specific team composition and other variables. Please contact us so we can provide a tailored quote based on your specific requirements.
The production timeline is largely determined by the level of customization required for the performance. We generally request a minimum of two months’ notice to manage our schedule and ensure thorough preparation for all clients, and we are currently projecting availability starting on Sep 1, 2026. For an additional fee, shows requiring only minimal customization may be possible with a lead time ranging as little as two weeks, pending airspace authorization lead times.
With recent changes at the FAA, airspace authorizations are currently taking over two months for approval. Though likely temporary, we currently recommend three months notice for show requests.
To customize the spectator experience and deliver results tailored to your organization, we provide a variety of enhancements, including:
- Pyrotechnic drones
- Aerial and ground-based content capture
- Exclusive pre-performance tours and VIP seating
- Bespoke add-ons designed to meet your specific needs
Our drone fleet is engineered to operate in winds up to 25 mph, and we utilize specialized protective protocols for variable weather conditions. While the drones can safely navigate light mist or minor sprinkles, heavy rainfall may necessitate a cancellation. To ensure the highest level of safety, the Chief Drone Pilot maintains ultimate authority regarding all weather-related flight decisions.
In the event of a weather-related cancellation, clients incur 50% of the show costs. Rescheduling options include moving the performance to the following evening at no additional charge or selecting a new date within a 12-month period, though additional lodging and travel expenses may apply.
Our inventory includes pyrotechnic drones designed to produce aerial effects that resemble traditional fireworks. These pyro drones are an excellent way to enhance a performance and provide a memorable grand finale for your spectators.
All of our drones are built and manufactured here in the U.S.A and follow FCC compliance, including the proposed foreign-produced UAS restrictions outlined in Federal Register Notice 2026-15659.
Each drone features over 3,400 lumens of RGB LED brightness, making the show visible up to 5 miles away.
Our drone shows can fly up to 400 ft above ground.
